Disadvantages of Traditional Marketing

Over the last three weeks, I have noticed that there are companies who are still using the traditional marketing methods despite the fact that information about use of the internet as a marketing tool is common knowledge even in parts of the world that are less developed.

I do not want to start calling or mentioning names of these companies. Instead, I have decided to use my valuable time to look at the disadvantages or the cons of using traditional marketing methods.

Very Expensive

Gone are the days when we used to think that one needs a bag full of money or precious stones in order to succeed in marketing the business. There are a million and one ways of marketing the business online without incurring huge expenses. The traditional methods are very very expensive and this make them not ideal for new companies that have limited capital. The huge corporations also failed due to lack of capital to continuously run campaigns in the past.

Very Unreliable

Why in the hell would you want to use an unreliable and unrealistic method of marketing your business. Why would you want to waste time on a method that you know might not yield any positive results? These are some of the major questions that you need to ask yourself if you want to succeed.

Finally, the traditional marketing methods are difficult to monitor. You cannot tell what is working for your business and what is not!
